 Lima tour

The historical-archaeological tour of Lima opens with a visit to the Main Square, then continues with Government Palace, City Hall  and a visit to the Cathedral, where the tomb of the conquistador Francisco Pizarro is located.

The tour goes through the fascinating complex of San Francisco, the jewel of colonial Lima, listed by UNESCO a World Heritage Site, because of its outstanding importance. This comprehends the Church, the Monastery (decorated in lavish Andalusian Moorish style, which hosts a small religious Museum with paintings of the workshop of Rubens and Zurbaran) and Catacombs of San Francisco (an amazing network of underground chambers, with hundred of skulls and bones disposed in racks) .

Then we continue through the streets of Colonial Lima, where the Colonial Mansions are located, and is completed arriving in the residential areas of Modern Lima, in the district of Miraflores (7 de Junio Park, The Mole, Love Park, and Larcomar). The tour is led by a brilliant professional bilingual guide Spanish-English, and may also be combined either with a a visit to the National Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, or with a day trip to the ancient pre-Inka oracular site of Pachacamac.
