ITINERARY
|
Day 1:
Lima-Chosica-San Pedro de Casta
|
Leaving our Hotel in Lima pretty early in
the morning (around 7 am), on private bus, accompanied by our
Spanish-English bilingual guide, for a one hour trip to Chosica. Arrival
to Chosica, where we get the local coach directed to San Pedro de Casta.
Arrival to the beautiful community of San Pedro de Casta and transfer to
Hotel. Free time to acclimatize, wandering around this archaic, timeless
village
and discovering the surroundings. Optional visit to the local Museum,
which hosts a number of mummies, textiles and archaeological manufacts
originally discovered in Marka Wasi. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 2: San Pedro
de Casta - Marka Wasi - San Pedro de Casta
After breakfast, we leave on horseback for a one-and-half hour trip to
Marka Wasi, accompanied by don Manuel Olivares, who discovered Marka Wasi together with Daniel Russo. After a
tonyfying coca-tea, we begin the exploration of the magical Plateau.
The
visit includes the Amphitheatre, the Fortaleza, the Chulpas Incaicos, the
Huacracocha Lagoon, the Cabaña (the dwelling where Daniel Russo lived
whilst doing his research), the Monument of Humanity, and many other
strange rock formations resembling animal and human profiles.
In
the late afternoon, we return to San Pedro de Casta on horseback,
following the winding path amid the mountains. Later return
to the village. Dinner, night in Hotel.
Day 3: San Pedro de Casta -
Chosica - Lima
After breakfast, we will catch the local bus to the city of
Chosica, going through an incredible scenery among breathtaking cliffs.
Once in Chosica there will be a private bus waiting for us. After about a
hour drive we shall arrive to Lima and be transferred to our Hotel there.
Overnight in Hotel.
