Magical Journeys To Peru

Shamanic Journeys and Expeditions

We organize all year round journeys of exploration and self-discovery, through spiritual, ethno-botanical and shamanic oriented retreats and expeditions in the upper Amazon Rainforest, Andes and North Coast areas of Peru.

In the Northern Amazon:

Two different shamanic and healing retreats here: in the exquisite Onanyan Shobo - an Amazonian indigenous shamanism centre which we helped to create, mainly focused on native Shipibo shamanism - and in Sachamama Ethnobotanical Garden. Both centres are in the jungle near Iquitos, the capital of the vast department of Loreto.

In the Peruvian Highlands and the Northern Coast:

Huachuma Journeys with participation to ayahuasca and San Pedro healing rituals, led by the most distinguished master shaman don Pedro Leon: going from the oracular site of Chavin de Huántar, up to the Moche and Lambayeque ritual pyramids.

In the Andes:

Shamanic Expeditions to the Q'eros Indians , keepers of the Inka Prophecies on the end of time (pachacuti). Expeditions to the mysterious Marka Wasi plateau, with the optional participation of a local curandero.

According to the nature and aim of your journey and interests, you will have strong opportunities to:

• Investigate and research both indigenous and mestizo (e.g. non tribal) shamanic culture of the Amazon, the Andes and the Coast;

• Experience the time-honoured use of entheogenics like ayahuasca and San Pedro in their most natural and traditional settings;

• Benefit from Amazonian and Coastal traditional healing practices and participate to ceremonies with ayahuasca, the "vine of the soul". This is the magical brew used in the Amazon basin from pre-Columbian times, and by the Incas themselves, to experience the ecstatic flight of communion with the gods;

• The traditional shamanic apprenticeship, the "dieta" with plant teachers (plantas maestras and palos maestros, like ayahuasca, ajo sacha, lupuna, toe', chiric sanango, piripiri, and many more), in Onanyan Shobo; 

• Learn about the magical and medicinal plants of the jungle used by local and indigenous healers;

• Have the thrill of adventure in the most remote areas and extreme environments of the planet;

• Have an insight in the traditional and ancient civilizations and archaeology of Peru.

• Holistic retreats, ayahuasca ceremonies, visionary art tutorials and 'plant diet' in Sachamama Ethnobotanical Garden. 

 SAN PEDRO AND AYAHUASCA RITUALS IN THE ANCIENT POWER PLACES OF

PRE-COLUMBIAN PERU

• Participate to Ayahuasca and San Pedro (Huachuma) rituals held in the ancient oracular site of Chavin de Huántar, and the pre-Inka Moche and Lambayeque ritual pyramids, with don Pedro Leon. Visit the Huacas del Sol y de la Luna, the Huaca El Dragon, the Witches' herbal market in Chiclayo, the pyramids of Tucume and the stunning "Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum" - which houses the first intact funerary context of an ancient Peruvian ruler, the "Lord of Sipan", leader of the Moche, one of the most intriguing civilizations of pre-Columbian and pre-Inka Peru.

•  Marka Wasi: a place of unphatomable mystery, infinite silence, and believed to be at the core of special energy vortexes. Our three days expedition here may complement any of our programmes, whether in the northern or southern rainforest, or in the Andes!

•  Inca Trail to Machu Picchu: a magical journey into a sacred landscape, on the footsteps of the Incas and their ancestors.

The Sacred Valley And Machu Picchu

• The Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu: from Cusco to Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Puca-Pucara, and other amazing places through the Sacred Valley of the Inkas, amid spectacular Inka and pre-Inka ruins and finally arriving to the enchanted Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
