Q'eros: Expeditions to the End of Time

Ceremony of thanksgiving and offering to the Apus and Pachamama

Day 1:

Arrival in Lima. Pick up from airport and transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Hotel in Lima.

Day 2:

Transfer to Lima airport, to catch flight to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco. Pick up from airport and transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Hotel in Cusco.

Day 3:

Very early in the morning we journey from Cusco to the indigenous Q'eros village of Kiko, where we shall spend three days. The trip takes about eight hours in a spectacular scenery, amid snow capped mountains, and will be done on a four wheels vehicle. Overnight in the pueblo of Kiko.

Day 4:

Meeting with Doña Maria, the only surviving Q'eros high shaman-priestess, seer and Altomesayoq. We shall also have the opportunity to meet with other maestros Pampamesayoqs, share things and know each other. Overnight in Kiko.

Day 5:

Ceremonial work: receiving healing from a Q'eros maestro, an elder Pampamesayoq, with offering to Pachamama (the Spirit of Mother Earth) and to the Apus - the sacred mountain spirits. At night, special individual session with Alto Mesayoq Doña Maria consulting the Apu. During the ceremony, Doña Maria enters into a trance-like status to communicate with the Mountain Spirit, who will be queried on your behalf. This is essentially a powerful divination session by means of shamanic trance. It's an extremely intense and very special experience, and absolutely no camera or recording equipment will be allowed. Overnight in Kiko.

Day 6-7-8:

Leaving Kiko on horseback to head towards the rest of the communities that are part of the Q'eros nation.

In these three days we shall visit Charkapata, Hatun Qeros, Choa choa, Kallakancha and, lastly, the city of Paucartambo.

Day 9:

This will be the last day with the Q'eros. A four-wheels vehicle will pick-up us from Paucartambo, to go back to Cusco where we shall arrive in about four hours. Overnight in Hotel in Cusco.

Day 10:

Transfer from your Hotel to Cusco airport, to catch flight back to Lima. Arrival in Lima and transfer to our Hotel there. Overnight in Lima or - depending on your international flight schedule - transfer back to Lima airport for connecting flight home.

Optional:

2 Days extension: visiting Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Pucapucara, Tambomachay and the Sacred Valley.
