Inka Shamanism, Coca Readings, Ceremonies and Divination

Shamanic Journeys into the Timeless, with the Q'ero Indians of Peru

Direct descendants of the Inkas, Keepers of the Inka Prophecies on the end of time - or pachacuti, the Q'eros are among all Andean indigenous people the ones who have kept almost unchanged through the centuries their ancient knowledge and traditions. Living still now in the most inaccessible parts of the Andes, they took refuge in these extremely remote areas to escape the ravage of the Spanish Conquistadores. This is an expedition to the end of time, a journey into the timeless, amid mountains and mountain spirits, where you will meet elders and priest-shamans (Paqos or Pakos) of different communities, and where you will have the opportunity of partaking to traditional "energy balancing" ceremonies with offerings to the Apus (Mountain Spirits) and Pachamama (Spirit Mother of the Earth), called despachos. Directly consult with the Paqos, masters of Coca-readings for divination, and exceptionally meet with the higher shaman-priestess of the Q'eros, the higher Paqo, the true and only surviving Altomesayoq, the Seer Doņa Maria Apaza Machacca, who received her powers, as it was the will of Heaven, after being struck three times by lightening (illapa), and going through many difficult initiation tests. After the disappearance of Don Manuel Quispe, Doņa Maria is currently the only genuine Altomesayoq existing today amid the Q'ero Indians.
