Don Francisco inherited these mysterious healing stones from his grandmother Trinidad Vilces Peso, a powerful curandera, before her death. Each one of them has a specialized healing property.
The encantos cure a diffuse variety of ailments and illnesses, ranging from general body aches, to psychological disturbances, to brujeria (sorcery-induced illness). To increase the healing power of the encanto below, this was smeared with a special shamanic perfume, which had produced this golden patina. Don Francisco will pass his encantos on to another curandero, in the very same fashion he has received them.
