Bank Fees:
Please note that there are usually no fees on this end for sending a payment to us as a
CHAPS electronic transfer. However, when wiring a payment from
Abroad you must make sure that all bank
fees (U.K. bank fees + your own bank's fees) would be paid for by you. U.K. bank fees are currently £
7 GBP: this amount must be added to any international electronic bank payment
sent to us either via standard or priority/urgent SWIFT. You must also make sure to pay all
fees that your bank will charge you for sending the wire.

Note 1:
IMPORTANT: Payment options for first time PayPal
users from abroad
If you do not have a PayPal account
and are paying from abroad - i.e. you are not a UK resident/national- please use
the electronic wire transfer option via your bank, as things with
PayPal
would be otherwise complicated. The
very first time you would make a payment from abroad to the UK, PayPal won't in
fact let you send GBP as foreign currency (it will only allow you to send funds
in the actual currency of your country of residence), and we cannot accept any
payment made in any other currency than GBP.

Payment
Deadline:
At least 30 days before intended
date of travelling, for ayahuasca healing retreats, and 50 days for plant
diet retreats. Please note that this is the "date-by" we must receive your
payment not the "date-by" you should send it. Please always allow at least 7
extra days for the payment to reach us and clear at the bank. Thank you. Your
place in the retreat will only be confirmed upon receipt of the payment.
Advance booking requests at slightly shorter notice "might" be considered only for
the ayahuasca retreats "off Iquitos", usually in
urgent or emergency cases only, standing availability, and - once agreed on -
subject to instant payment and fulfilment of all
booking conditions
and
requirements.

Insurance:
Travel Insurance
is a requirement to protect yourself in case of flight delays and
cancellations, and also in case of abandonment, curtailing and cancellation of the retreat on your part, due to
an emergency or other unforeseen circumstances. You are also required to take
appropriate Medical Insurance for your trip to Peru/the Amazon, which would cover
for urgent emergency evacuation, including repatriation by air ambulance. We recommend this to include cover for
at least £ 2,000,000 GBP, or equivalent in foreign currency. Your
premium should be forwarded to us at the same time as your payment, alongside
your liability waiver, in order to ensure that you are protected under the
coverage & terms of your policy.

How to Get to Iquitos:
Flight Info
There are
currently no international flights serving Iquitos directly, so your journey has
to be routed via Lima (Peru). The easiest way to book your international
flight up to Iquitos is using either an online consolidator like
Expedia:

LAN Airlines

Either way, if you plan to
begin your retreat on the same day of your arrival in Iquitos, the only Lan
flight that will effectively be suitable for this is the

arriving early in the morning (from Lima).

national Airlines serving Iquitos: Lan Peru:

Schedule & Jungle
Etiquette:
El Mundo Magico reserves the
right to change the order of the schedule in the programme, or to make
adjustments/changes at any time without prior notice. Participants are expected
to show respect at all times for the environment they are into (being that
plants, animals, the rainforest, or ceremonial practices) and to project a
friendly attitude towards other fellow retreat attendees and the native people met in
Onanyan Shobo. El Mundo Magico reserves the right to kindly decline - at any
time - applications of participants reputed unsuitable to the spirit of the
initiative and programme offered.
Facilities in Onanyan Shobo:
Spacious individual and
double wooden bungalows, built in the traditional Amazonian
styled thatched roof, ALL with private rustic shower (room temperature water), toilet, wash basin, comfortable bed with mattress, cotton-made mosquito-net, and window
screened from insects. No electricity. In a word: very luxurious by local people
standards, very rustic by Western standards!
