Cost Interpreter service (Spanish-English)

A Spanish-English interpreting service is available as an optional extra: click here for the interpreting service fees. Whenever possible, we tend to offer our guests the best Peruvian interpreter we ever come across in Iquitos, our friend Clever Hoyos, who has been working with (and for) us since the year 2003. Clever is highly experienced in dealing with Western pilgrims and offers his services with great integrity and utmost dedication. He is deeply acquainted with our shamanic work and Ayahuasca, and is also very knowledgeable about local Amazonian plants and plant teachers.
The interpreter may be with you on a live-in basis, on 24 hrs call, if required. We can usually guarantee the interpreter services up to 90 days continuously, subject to availability.
People wishing to partake to long time retreats over 90 days in length, should be able to communicate in Spanish (no one in Ashi Meraya speaks English).
You may book the interpreting service for any length of time, from a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 90 days (exceptionally, even for longer, though in this case we might provide a combined service of different translators). The interpreting service costs £ 25 GBP p.p. per day for individual participants, or increasingly less, should there be more people in your party, as follows:

Groups up to 11 participants may share the same interpreter. However, groups sized over 11 participants *might* be required to reserve a second interpreter. Reduced interpreter fees are available ONLY to participants who are members of the same party/group, doing the retreat together, arriving and leaving at the same time, on the same day. The above rates do not apply to participants who are not members of the same party.
It’s not possible to book the interpreter on a part-time basis, or for periods shorter than 7 days. Equally, you should note that it is not possible to have a private translator assigned to every retreat participant (i.e., when two or more guests require the same translating service)!!
All retreat participants must be willing to share their interpreter with other guests who have also booked for this service.
