I spent an incredible time at [Ashi Meraya] and came back with a huge shift in consciousness. Ayahuasca is such a powerful way to get into depth of yourself but also outside of yourself and feel truly connected. Even though It wasn’t always an easy ride and I had to face my fears and weaknesses, I saw the worlds of infinite beauty, freedom and creativity.
When I was asked how do I sum up what I learned from my experience in a few words, I can say that the main thing ayahuasca made clear to me is to really be yourself and stand for your truth. Thanks to everyone at Ashi Meraya for providing me with such an amazing experience: Maestro Don Alfredo for his great power, knowledge and incredible drive to share it with others. All the members of the family – Jose, Inez, Esther, Claudia and others for being super warm, welcoming and hard-working. I came to Ashi Meraya hoping to find peace and healing and at least few good experiences with Ayahuasca. I turned out much more than what I’d expected. It took some time and patience for Ayahuasca to start demonstrating its power. My experiences were very deep and profound. They escape every attempt of trying describe them.

Thank you for this truly unique experience. Since returning home I am conscious of the clarity and change within myself. Others have noticed and leaves me wondering what I was like before I arrived at Ashi Meraya! It was and, still is an experience I wont forget. Ayahuasca has much to teach.
I wont forget the first ceremony, anticipation, excitement, dread, fear and uncertainty. It was a prelude to what I was to learn. Each ceremony was unique and under the guidance of Don Alfredo, as he guided, protected and sang those beautiful and uplifting Icaro’s is something, which I’m truly grateful for. He is a truly humble and gentle man, supported by Claudia his partner whose infectious laugh and sweet singing of the Icaro’s melted any fears I that I had. The most outstanding ceremony for me was at the Remo Caspi tree, a truly amazing experience and one that has left me with peace and space within that I didn’t know was there. The power and beauty of the plant spirits is something to be honored and respected – something that is lost in the urban concrete jungle that is around.
My sincere and grateful thanks go to David my interpreter – you can read his story in the testimonials – who, went beyond the call to ensure my time at Ashi Meraya was unique. And thank you to Clever who stepped in as interpreter my last few days as I discovered his dry sense of humour, deep love, knowledge and respect for the plant world. To Roberto and his family, who open their hearts and love to all who come, their warmth is infectious. If you are considering a truly unique and authentic experience with Ayahuasca then I cannot recommend El Mundo Magico enough and, you also get to meet some great people on a similar path to self.
